I was just wondering about your favorite music to do exercise with...
For me it's kinda different every now and then... I've been running a lot lately, and I like to run a lot to this song:

It's called 'booty voodoo'. Never heard of this guy, but someone pointed me at it and it has a nice "G. Love" kind of vibe to it... Anyway, I run well listening to it ;-)
Other than that, I listen to a lot of rock music whenever I exercise, but I'd love to get some new input![]()

it's completely dependant on the type of workout, and WHERE my workout is.
Cardio: Inside on machines- high energy rock, trance, house to keep me motivated (i hate running on a machine)
Outside/Street running or hiking- usually something that fits my scenery, cinematic
Lifting- Hard rock

My ipod is full of stuff..... I have a few playlists, Fast Fitness, FUn Tunes, etc.
Off the top of my head (cuz I'm at work).... Dance music from the 80's.
And other than that, rock music...Nicholbak, Disturbed, AC/DC, and many others I can't think of.
I used to hit the night clubs in the late 80's and any of the dance music they played back then (and still play) is what gets me pumpin' to work harder.
Depends on what I'm doing. If I'm doing aerobics or cardio I like Hip Hop like "How Low" by Ludacris, but also like to incorporate some songs like "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga because it has a good "MOVE MOVE MOVE" beat.![]()
I do not enjoy running, no matter how hard I try......so on the rare occasion that I'm running I listen to WHATEVER I can possibly listen to to get my mind off running. But mostly Rock or Pop.
i think my favorite genre of music to exercise to would have to be techno, like 'basshunter' 'benny benassi', because of the great beat and energized feelings you get, especially if you're doing something really repetitive, like using an elliptical or a treadmill.
if i'm running or doing stairs, i like either rock or shakira.
