Well I figured it's time to shape up a little, so yesterday I downloaded some short pilates videos from youtube. Did maybe a 30 min workout, and wooooooowwwza, I hurt in places I didn't even realize I had muscles.

Anyone else into pilates? Notice any positive results?

I used to use a pilates machine. They are really good!! A friend of mine also used a pilates machine and toned up alot. Maybe you should invest in one if your downloaded workout did something for you?

I use pilates videos once and a while. Look up some from the Crunch videos, they have a few good pilates videos.

Thumbs up Pilates at home !

Last year i wanted to get more toner for a close family members wedding, unfortunately i have bad knee problems and could not do any cardio at the time which is the quickest way to lose weight. so decided to do some research on youtube and get some pilates routines in place. every night after work i would do pilates with a number of different excersises for the abs, bum and arms (i bought myself a 3kg weight) i did this 5 days a week for approx 30 mins.

After a few weeks i began to feel so much more confident and leaner! I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to get fit but doesnt want to spend too much money on the gym. There are heaps of really helpful videos on you tube that can help you. And whats the best is you can take a break on the weekend, and it only takes 30min a night.

Its great for people that have injuries as you can modify your workout to suit yourself.

I took a pilates class at my college. It was amazing! I felt so much more flexible and strong after...

Suggestion: There is a "10 min Solution" Dvd that I got at walmart for $10. It has 10 min segments of workouts to target different body zones or you can do all the workouts together. It's really nice for someone who might not have a lot of time or is just starting.

You're right, I can't recall seeing any vidoes of men doing Polities? There's a money making thing right there Grasshopper

However, nizzy's comment about it being great for people with injuries, Physio's use this method to re-habilitate, still it is hard when injuried but it does/did strengthen to a degree my muscles, and there were men doing it back then as well, via a Physio..
