    I have been using my exercise bike three times a week 30-40mins each time for the last few years. It really works and I enjoy using it. However, at the moment I want to lost 7lb. I feel my body is now getting used to the bike and basically using the same muscles. Any extra tips which will benefit me more just by using my exercise bike alone! Should I increase speed, time etc? I do not want to pay gym fees.

    1. Ride 5 times a week. (even if the two extra days are only 20 mintues)
    2. Do intervals of faster speed and higher resistance.
    3. Add an extra 15 minutes to your 40 minute ride of sit ups, pushups, jumping jacks and jogging in place (high knees)
    4. Cut your calories back by 200 calories a day.

    With the added exercise and a little better eating, and less calories you should be able to lose some weight. If you are doing 30 mins/3x a week and you're not gaining, then you are doing the minimum that your body needs to maintain your current weight. So you'll need to burn more calories and/or take in less calories. By adding time, making it harder and eating a little less you should be able to lose 7 pounds in a couple of months.

    My only exercise advice is that you do cardio only, no weight training. Other than that if you are overweight.... lose it! Trying to lose weight after you start HRT will be more difficult. To me portion control is the key. Too many people eat way more than they really need to.
