Is skipping rope for fitness...? and why???
It's really good actually. Try mixing it up between doing high knees and then just skipping, varying your speed, etc.
Try jumping one foot at a time, 50x, then switch.
One thing I do is jump one foot 1-10, so left foot once, right foot 2x, left 3x....up to 10 and then back down. If you mess up then you have to start over at the beginning.
It's good for agility, balance, cardio but you have to push yourself to make it challenging. If you get a rope that has a good weight to it, it's even better. It will also work your forearms and shoulders.
