Do you have a sporting goods store where you live?
I actually got my bike at Walmart lol
I don't know of any bike shops around here. I really just need a new seat. My fiance and I switched seats when we went out a bit ago, made a little bit of a difference. So I plan to get either a different seat or a padded thing that goes over the seat like I had years ago.

Yea, we have one just down the street from my house actually.
Never really thought of bike shorts though, don't seem to comfortable as I hate tight pants or anything for that matter. Not sure if it'll be the best thing for me. Got a major pain from my seat though right on the inside of my vagina and it's not very comfortable right now.
Here is the link to my other thread about the pain i'm dealing with right now

The shorts have a pad in them that will help with the soreness, they are key. Yeah, they're tight, but I just roll the waistband down and bit and thrown on some regular shorts over it. You should just go get them. The last thing you need is a sore hoo-ha or another excuse to not exercise. Getting out there is hard enough as is, may as well make it as comfortable as possible.
Hmm I'll look into it. I'll look at the store online and see what they have. If I can get shorts that are short, i'll wear just my normal jeans over them when I ride. I hate sweating down there when I ride. Could my pain really be from riding or should I be worried about something else going on?
Is something like this what you're talking about? Just wanted to make sure I'm thinking of the right thing

Those are the right material, they just need the pad.

Wow, almost $40?
I really don't have a whole lot of money to spend. I got $150 for my birthday earlier this month and since my bike cost me $92, I really don't have a whole lot left and I was thinking of just getting a shorter pair so their not so long and that way I can wear my capris over them. I don't really have a job so money is pretty tight for me right now (but thoroughly looking).
just do a simple google search for bike shorts - you can find pretty inexpensive ones, probably $30 or less. You just want to make sure that you get the ones for WOMEN. They make "unisex" shorts, but the chamois is not sewn in the correct spot to fit a woman anatomically - so they're better than nothing, but not nearly as helpful as women's specific shorts.
