So, I'm a martial artist, I've been into XMA for the last couple of years (Extreme Martial Arts). I do a lot of spin kicks and some inverted moves. Lately, I've been feeling really dizzy and slightly nauseous when I do this kind of stuff... it makes me lose my balance and sometimes I have to stop training for several hours. I've never had this issue before, just started in the last month. It's kind of annoying, because I'm trying to get ready for a tournament. I'm not sure what the problem could be... any thoughts?

Motion sickness maybe? There are a few OTC motion sickness meds you can take prior to these activities, some being Dramamine and Bonine. You could also be dehydrated.

hmmm... yeah, maybe. Could it have something to do with medication? I'm on anti-depressants, but I've been on the same ones for years. I'm just not sure why it would be affecting me now all of a sudden, it's weird.

No not likely the anti-depressants because they would have those side effects outside of those motion activities. Motion sickness can be very random or very predictable it all depends on the person.

Could be due to medication, dehydration, or some spinal issues too, might want to see the doc so he can investigate, I had episodes of dizzyness as a kid and they eventually went away, but that might be growth related.

You could be low on electrolytes. Try drinking coconut juice, a gatorade or having some water and a few saltines.

thx everyone... I'm gonna try some of these suggestions before I go running off to the doctor about it. I've been trying to drink more water, seems to help some, but then I have to stop and go pee like every 15 minutes LOL.
