Can exercising give me a bacteria infection? I sweat alot and I've been to the doctor so many times I stop counting, I've been given all kinds of medications, which make it go away for a while, but it comes right back after a few weeks. I also had a scraping of my bladder (there is a medical term, I've since forgotten sorry) I just heard about the Pro-B Yeast/Bacteria product and I'm wondering if that would help me at all...I'm so frustrated about this and embarrassed. My sex drive with my husband has suffered as well. I'm only 44 and in good physical health, or so I think. I wear breathable clothing for both working out and for personal everyday wear. I don't know what else to do.
I would think it is possible. When someone exercises it produces more sweat which makes it warm and moist. The perfect place for multiplying bacteria. The only thing I can think of to help is to definitely wear cotton underwear and loose clothing when you work out, shower right after, or if you can't shower, put on another clean pair of underwear until you can. Also- if you eat yogurt in your daily diet it helps with bacteria down there quite a bit. Yogurt keeps the bacteria in the vagina balanced and as for UTI's you can start taking cranberry supplements or drink pure cranberry juice. That keeps bacteria from clinging to the lining of the urinary tract. Hope some of this helps. PS- was it a laperoskipy (however it's spelt) where they scraped your lining of your uterus?
