I have been looking into buying a pair of these shoes for walking... Anyone have any recommendations? Anyone think they are completely not worth the money?

I wanted to get some opinions before I dropped $100 on new shoes.

I know my wife uses ShapeUps or something like that, and she is in a job where she is on her feet all day.
    She swears by them.

I would be careful of any of the toning shoes. A friend of mine bought a pair for over $100 but the chiropractor told her it will hurt her back (she does have some back problems).

I tried them on at the shoe store. I found they were uncomfortable for me. I felt unstable when I had them on. Maybe that is what is supposed to happen, causing your to exert yourself to maintain stability. I didn't buy them, got a good pair of jogging shoes instead.

Yea, she said the same thing, and that it takes a few days to really get used to them, but afterwards, she loved them and still does.

Personal opinion, if you want great legs, you have to work for them. I put toning shoes in the same category with the thing you strap around your waste and it does something with electrical impulses to give you abs, or the thing you hold in your hands and they shake and you get great arms. NOT GOING TO WORK.

I always laugh when I imagine something using all three at the same time. Wish it did work though, would be much easier than working my butt of in the gym everyday!

I own the Reebok easytone. I didn't really buy them for any toning purpose I tried them on in the store and just found them to be very comfortable. I found they do improve my posture when I do wear them.

    kdiaz,

I work out too. I just didn't know if they might "boost" the effects of my workouts more than anything. IT wasn't that I expected them to magically make me toned. I know better

    Sally,

I tried on the easy tone and felt like I was walking on something (which I was) but it was odd to me. I guess I'l just be buying another good pair of cross trainers and calling it a day
