Well you can develop your calves. Why not talk to a trainer or do a search on exersizes for the calf muscles?
That was probably a weird thread title to see. LoL
But, I want to have fatter legs. I'd like curvier legs, if thats the right way to put it..?
I'm a UK size 8, petite, always have been, find it very hard to put on weight.
I go to the gym regularly and eat healthy. My fattest part of my body would be my belly.. or not sure!
But some times I feel like my legs are too skinny looking and I'd like them to have more shape.
People often think at times, I must have an eating disorder or I'm one of those girls obsessed with being skinny, and I'm not. Personally I think the size 0 models you see nowadays aren't attractive.
So has anybody got any tips on how to get curvier legs?![]()

bicycling will build muscle in your legs, and make them thicker, i dunno how to make them fatter though..
You can do body weight squats at home or barbell squats at your gym. Most people, who know, will tell you that squats are the quickest way to building larger legs. Particularly the quadriceps and hamstrings (front and back of your thigh).
I'd talk to a trainer where you work out and ask them for advice on proper form and amount of weight.
PROPER FORM is absolutely critical for the health of your back and growth of your legs.
Fatter legs and many other parts will come with age. By the time you notice it then, you will be in a battle to maintain or lose weight. Its much better to talk with someone to get you comfortable about how you are now than to try for something you will consider a losing battle later. Thinner girls are attractive, too.
Yeah, I had talked at my gym about it and he said the same as most of you. But I don't want muscular looking legs.
I've heard before you need to gain weight to build muscle, so that is really why I was asking how to you get fatter legs?
I'll always be this size, I'd been to my doctor before about my weight and I've got a very high metabolism which means I burn calories 10 times faster than a such person with a normal metabolism. My mother who is in her 40's and had 6 children, is also a size 8 and very petite. She never had any struggles to loose baby weight or anything through the years.
And most people say I should be lucky to be naturally thin, but it's not all that exciting! So I'm not sure if my extra weight will come with age?

Lets rephrase this. You don't want fatter legs, you want shaplier legs.
Having well toned calves will give your legs more shape and make your ankles look more slender too.
I did a search and found these on a site called Perfect Body Toning:
The Calf Routine
1: The Calf Lift
This exercise works wonder for your calves
Getting Into Position
Stand tall with your feet together, heels touching, toes pointing out at about 45 degree-angle.
Your hands are on your hips.
The Exercise
Slowly raise your body weight to the balls of your feet.
Squeeze your calves at the top of your lift, then release your legs back to the floor.
(For easier understanding, imagine you're a ballet dancer. Have you seen a ballerina standing on her toes?)
Do 12 repetitions.
2: The Heel Raise
This exercise powerfully works on your calves
Getting Into Position
Stand on one foot, the other foot resting behind your supporting leg.
Both hands are on your hips.
The Exercise
Slowly raise your body weight unto the balls of the supporting foot.
Squeeze your calf at the top of the lift, then release your leg back to the floor.
Do 12 repetitions.
Repeat with the other leg.
3: The Calf Raise
This exercise sculpts and strengthens your calves
Getting Into Position
Sit tall and erect on the edge of a chair, your knees bent and feet flat on the floor.
Place both your hands, palms facing down, on tops of your thighs.
The Exercise
Raise your heels up on tiptoes, as high as you possibly can.
Oppose this upward movement by pushing down the tops of your thighs with your hands.
Hold for a while at top of the movement.
Slowly lower to the starting position while still keep pushing down tops of thighs with your hands.
Do 12 repetitions.

Being underweight isn't healthy... so trying to gain weight to be healthy is fine -- but attempting to add fat to your body would be a very UNHEALTHY decision... the kind of lifestyle that would accompany any attempts to pack fat to a body part will pack fat everywhere else as well... and depending on your genetics it might not even end up at the desired location. For bigger legs, healthy... that would have to be done with weightlifting and muscles would have to be apart of why they are bigger.
I just think the quest to add FAT.. rather than muscle is a very slippery slope and can be damaging to your health... the more fat your body has the more likely you are to develop heart disease and diabetes, and a host of other ailments.
Scars remind us of where we've been...they don't have to dictate where we're going.
It sounds like you have the shape where you gain or have more weight in your mid-section and your legs are thin, or what people call the apple shape. Even if you are thin in the waist, you can still have that shape, where it's just hard to have "fat" legs. I'm a pear shape, so it's easier for me to have a small waist but bigger legs. It's hardest for me to get my legs toned but I just have to live with that. You could work really hard and still may not gain weight there, but end up gaining it where you don't want it.
