P90X could be the most intense exercise program you have ever undertaken.

There are lots of success stories and lots of failure stories too.

It is NOT a magical cure for whatever ails you.

You will get out of it ONLY what you put into it.

NO committment and NO effort = No results.

You have to give 110% every hour of every day that you are doing the workout.

90 hours over 90 days and 270 meals (at least).

Good luck! It could be the start of the rest of your life!

    Congratulatons on your upcoming wedding.

I did p90x this summer and absolutely love it. Don't expect to be able to do every workout 100% bc it wont happen. I only did as much as I could and I was showing results in a couple weeks. My metabolism also shot up and I was eating every couple hours and still lost body fat. Regrettfuly I switched jobs and my week became to hectic to do it 4 times a week like I was. (yes I was doing 4 days a week, not 7, an still reaped benefits). I'll be starting back as soon as I get my endurance back. Sticking with just running for now. Good luck!!

I just started the program last Monday.
I'm in decent shape already, with problem areas of course!
I don't follow the diet plan(although I eat naturally pretty close to it).
The workouts can be a bit long at first, because you won't be able to do as many reps as they can do or do it properly as well, but don't be discouraged & stick with it! Keep trying! Think of it as practice. Like homework for your body.

What routine are you doing? I'm doing Doubles along with Lean when it differs from Doubles. I do the Doubles during my son's afternoon nap and do the Lean stuff after her goes to bed at 9. But it isn't everyday, just Mon & Tues weeks 1-3. They normally only differ a few days each week, so it isn't too bad doing both.

It reminds me of gym class in grade school, oddly enough! It's not super focused on one type of thing or movement, it's all over the place with moves & positions. Which is the muscle confusion part. I look forward to it each day. Prep your mind in the morning. Get out the next DVD. Think about what parts of the body you'll be working that day.

You WILL be sore that first week. It's so new & different & hard & intense. Work through it. You can do it!!

We have been at it for 4 days now. I am doing the lean (because i'm not in the greatest of shape lol) and my fiance is doing the classic. I don't follow the diet plan either, I have just been watching what I eat more closely and substituting healthier things into my diet. I work at a cafeteria, so it gets hard to stick to it but I'm trying. I actually enjoy the workouts lol I am very sore but its totally worth it. The only workout that I dont like so far is Yoga. I find it very boring and hard to stick to. The rest of them are fun. My only real problem is sticking to a healthy diet. I'm kind of a picky eater lol

Yeah, I get you. I found Yoga boring and hard to get into at first, but MAN OH MAN, I felt AMAZING the next day!

So this week, I'm gonna enjoy it for what it IS, not what it isn't(active & exciting!).

Have you noticed anything yet but soreness? I definately am "tighter" as far as my body goes compared to last week. It's hard to explain, but I feel like my body is more "pulled in" and "tighter" in the space it takes up. Like more compacted.
    Dunno. Just weird observation.
    But I likey!!!

Lol I feel tighter too lol still sore though. But I have already lost an inch of my belly (even though thats probably water weight or not being bloated because im eating better) but it still makes me happy to see it! Just did the Kenpo today, wow that stuff is a workout but it was really fun!

Kenpo is by far, my fave!!
I do it tomorrow for the second time and my 10yo wants to do it with me
That should be fun & silly, all at the same time!
I have smaller measurements too, but gained a .4 pound. BOOOO!!!
I know it's due to muscle gain from working out, but I had hoped to maintain my 117lbs weight throughout my 13 week routine, gaining muscle while loosing fat. I went out & bought protein powder today to have in my morning oatmeal instead of milk, and then substituting a protein shake after my naptime workout(from 1-3pm, my son naps & I workout) instead of having a PB&J wheat sandwich. I think taking those emptier calories out and adding the protein powder should produce the zero change I'm looking for in my weight.
    At least, I hope.
I lost 35lbs last spring/summer/fall and hate to see it creep back on, even though I know it's muscle.
    Who knows???

I do dig the P90X program though. How great when you're stuck inside anyways!!

P90X is amazing!! I absolutely love it. Most workouts geared toward women don't do much for me, but P90X really pushes you. My favorite thing is the push-ups, especially the staggered hand stacked foot ones. I am not doing P90X right now (being a full time student and working full time is difficult) but I would love to start again!
