dancing is a high energy, calorie burning activity that helps to tone your tummy and legs and arms. I do a lot of dancing as a cheerleader and dancer and I have always been pretty thin.

Along with dancing, I would definitely recommend martial arts, running, swimming or yoga/tai chi. Even if you don't want to take a class for any of these things, you can look up something on YouTube, buy yourself an exercise ball, or maybe a punching bag. Get some books from your local library on the subject of your interest and get started. I find it really helpful to have my iPod with me no matter how I'm working out. Another thing is to get a pet that needs exercising. I got a husky last August and I run way more than I ever did before. OHH, and if you have the availability, snowboarding is GREAT. it really works your legs and butt. I love it as the sport itself but it's wonderful exercise too.

Well, I also run up and down stairs in my heels. I run track and I use that to tone.

I just made a video on different exercises you can do for your core using a stability ball. However, the best way to lose unwanted weight is to burn more calories. You will want to burn more calories using cardio exercises such as running, biking, etc. You will also want to do some strength training to build muscle which will help you speed up your metabolism and burn more fat during your workout.

    Hope this helps!

    Default best toning exercise

Hi..for me the best toning exercise for women that I also encountered and always "do it at home" is the squat exercise, of course a combination of certain sets of exercises that uses light weights and complementary group of exercises..

Swimming, running, and dancing are best for toning because it requires all body muscles to work. Personally though, I can't do these exercises routinely so I make sure to also lift light weights, box, and do treadmill along with common exercises.
