    Default Gold's Gym Dance Workout

    O...m...g. I wanted Zumba at first, but we couldn't find it anywhere. So instead, the hubby and I decided to get Gold's Gym Dance Workout. This is NOT for the novice. Holy crud...this is day two....it said burned about 180 calories and geez I feel like it.

    My doctors needed me to lose weight, so I'm at 151 and I'm 5'6. My husband is cooking low GI foods for me and we are trying to monitor calories again...and now the dance workout.

    Doing this with my husband is crazy fun because neither of us have any coordination. I've bounced into his wiimote three times now, lol I figured earlier we were going to turn towards each other and punch one another during one of the workouts.

    I'm soooooo sweaty icky...I'll assume that means it's doing something, lol

    Seriously, this is insanely fun but really really really hard. I'm hoping I lose some weight for my knee and for my PCOS (so are my docs). Has anyone else used this or another dance video game and lost any weight?

    Wow, that sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for the info. I need to lose weight too and this sounds like so much. I'm surely going to try it.

    If you try it, the foot movements are super hard to keep up with....but I just bounce or step back and forth constantly instead of trying to follow their steps. I figure I'm still moving and likely actually moving more! lol

    I haven't heard of this one, but I bought Zumba Fitness for the Kinect and LOVE it. I run every day but sometimes I get bored of it, so it is fun to change it up with this once a week or so.

    This is great - I JUST joined Gold's Gym and need to find a good class. Thanks for sharing this!

    Okay, I found Zumba finally for the PS3. It requires the PS3 Move, but we had that, so whew. It was one of TWO copies left in town! lol

    It's really really really hard but what my husband and I learned was Gold's Gym Dance Workout works the upper body. Zumba works the waist and lower body. I was only able to do it for about 10 minutes before sitting down and just panting. lol I wanted everyone to know about the Zumba game. It only comes with one hip/waist band so we had to order another online for my husband. Thankfully, working out in a dance routine with him is actually really fun and I think it's helping us with us.

    The PS3 move kit also came with a sports video game. We tried it finally last night...and while it doesn't LOOK hard....I can barely lift anything today. So if you get it, don't discount it. I was bouncing all over the room playing virtual volleyball...there was sword fighting (in which I KICKED my hubby's REAR!) and it was SOOOO fun but omg the amount of moving required was amazing. I just sat down guzzling water afterwards! I cannot believe how I feel today!

    I don't know if I'm losing weight. I've added in walking on the treadmill and I set it at an incline of 8% and a speed of around 2.9. I know since I have PCOS, it will be harder for me to lose...but boy am I trying everything I can.

    My husband and I are going to print out a calender so we do upper body with one game, lower body with another and then workout in the gym from time to time. I'm not even SNACKING like I normally would! I haven't had fast food in about three weeks...which is major! lol

    I just wanted to update everyone on the games and Zumba now that I found it. It's hard, and it will take me a bit to pick up the moves because it starts slow but speeds up CRAZY fast....but again though, it is fun and you forget you are actually burning calories.
