Only thing i can think of is its going to take a while your lungs need to heal and get used to running. Just take it easy for a while then your body well get used to running and drink lots of water and so on to help your body heal

Make sure you are breathing properly. Breath in with your noise and out with your mouth. Make sure that you are hydrated and eating healthy and choosing the right time out of the day to run. I know Texas gets really hot so i ahve to run early morning. You will get there promise! I mean i smoked for 3 years and i have asmtha and i usually run 3 miles a day.

    Hi,
How far can you walk? You can walk at a normal pace, or walk at a fast pace. See how you do. If you can walk at a fast pace, it will be great for your heart and breathing , plus you won't have the problems associated with running. Good luck!

    Hi Tink,

It is actually normal to catch your breath when you run....Just breath in and out while doing a run.
