Has anyone tried the blood type diet/regimen? I am curious about how this works?

It is another scam method using the same "eat right and exercise" method but cashing in on it by putting a name to what has already been told. The way to lose weight is by proper diet and exercise. If you eat and exercise properly it does not matter what blood type you have it will give you the results a person is looking for.

However, people of certain backgrounds do have tendencies to certain dietary needs. For example about 50% of people of African descent are dairy intollerant, while 95% of Asians and Native Americans are dairy intollerant. By contrast only about 5% of caucasion people are dairy sensitive.

I have a friend who is trying it and she says she is feeling much better on it. I don't think she has lost any weight yet.

She mentioned that people with O type blood are meat eaters and should not try to go vegetarian. I don't know if I agree with that but that's what her naturopath told her. Also she's not supposed to eat oatmeal or cinnamon....?

I don't know, sounds bogus to me. I can't imagine my naturopath saying something like that. Cinnamon is good for the digestion and oatmeal is really good for you.

It means nothing. Everyone has different metabolism and general biochemistry, these people who promote specialty diets like this are trying to cash in on it by putting a name to something that everyone should already be doing....that being eating healthy. Reading online blog sites are especially notorious for creating false facts so people buy into their 'magic methods'. If you want to lose weight seek advice from someone who is educated, and no high school biology class does not count lol. Nutritionists are the best bet, they will organize a meal plan as well as recommend ways you can keep exercising. Spend that money on good food and not on false hope weight loss books.
