wow...you are actually covering the pain of running for miles with your favorite music? that's interesting.
1. Throw an upbeat trancy song like this on your iPOD.
(links not allowed)
-(my current fave song, just copy paste into your browser)
2. Go running and listen. try to focus on the music. let the flowing chords and heavenly vocals guide your soul. DO NOT focus on the pain your body is feeling.
WORKS FOR ME <3
3. Run until your beautiful. no matter how hard that is.
p.s the avatar pic is actually me so i hope you girls see I know what im talking about.

Running is great but...
Pain is your body's way of telling you to look out something isn't right.
As a runner who is currently dealing with plantar faciitis I can attest to the damage you can do if you aren't careful. Listen to your body, stretch, eat well, and work into things at a good pace that will respect your body. You can push your limits, you have to, to a degree, just stay aware of your overall health.
I switched shoes and haven't been able to run for months now and while its getting better it will be a few more months before I can start training again. I'll be starting all over.
An ipod can be great if you are running someplace absolutely safe. I run cross country and unless I am on a well populated park trail, I leave it at home so I can hear what is going on around me and coming up behind me.

I agree. The only time I feel comfortable enough running with music in my ears is at home on my treadmill. When I'm running outside, it is absolutely necessary to be aware of your surroundings. I also keep my little key chain pepper spray tucked in my shorts. One can never be too safe.
And... ignoring pain, nah, don't recommend it. Pushing yourself? Yes, but not to the point where you can injure yourself.
Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
It is important to run,but.......
Hey there is something wrong with the pain, your body can tell.
Runners to testify,if you can see here, you need to do faciitis damage a single opponent.Eat well and price of work, body stretching,to talk to me a good move, your body originates. You can go to your limit, you just know you're healthy, which should be sufficient....Best of LUCK MAN!!!!!!!!!
