At this point, I wouldn't worry about anything but your desire to lose weight.
Spinning is a great way to do that, so have at it.
I've recently started (and quickly become addicted to) spinning classes, and thinking about doing them three times a week. My friend who started with me said there is no way that she will continue with them as she doesn't want to get massive thighs and calfs.
Now personally I am a big girl, and looking to lose as much weight as I can, and get fitter, whereas my friend is a lovely size 12 and just wants to tone up for her wedding.
I guess I'm just looking for people's experience on how their bodies changed from regularly taking spinning classes.
Thank you

Yep I would agree with seeker - if you start getting 'spinning thighs' you can worry about it then; if this is something you enjoy doing and it's helping you lose weight then stick with it. And even if you do get 'spinning thighs', would you rather be slim and healthy with strong muscular legs or overweight and unfit with too much fat to actually be able to see if your legs are muscular or not?!
The amount of strength you gain is going to be less than the weight you lose, so you'll probably get smaller legs, butt, thighs. I agree with the others, stick with it. I've always thought that women who fear bulking up are just making excuses to not exercise. Our bodies aren't built to bulk up, even when we try to get bigger, it's tough.
They aren't built to bulk up no, but they still can do if we work out enough, even if that's not what we're aiming for.
And we're not all built the same, so some womens bodies will bulk up more easily than others.
However, this still is no reason not to carry on with the spinning classes wiki, was just stating my opinion!
thanks for the replies...still spinning 2-3 times a week, depending on uni schedule, and still loving it!
