    Hi

I was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and could share some advice?

Basically I have lost about a stone and 10lb in the past couple of months, going to the gym about 4-5 times a week doing a mix of circuits, spin and cardio and weights. The weight and inches have come off but now it seems to only be budging off my waist, ribs and chest and nothing off my tummy and hips, not sure how to combat this as I don't want to lose any more off my ribs/chest/waist area.

If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it

Wow, thats a huge amount of weight in a short space of time. Many congratulations.
I'd suggest focussing on running, either on the treadmill or jogging outdoors, i run regularly because this was the only exercise that I found shifted my 'love handles' it is also brilliant for my thighs and keeps my stomach tight.
Im surprised that spinning hasnt helped, do you incorporate stomach crunches into your workout? Ask around at the gym too, people are always keen to share whats worked for them. Remember that were all different. Congratulations again!

Thank you so much for your advice. I lost the weight in about 3 months just with healthy diet and exercise and have plateaued since then. I will keep this up, maybe just jogging on the treadmill rather than interval training, I am just really worried about losing any more weight off my waist, I have a wedding to go to in 5 weeks and the dress has gone baggy around this area, I just don't want to look too skinny in this area.

I do crunches every time I go yes, quite limited to certain types as I damaged my back last year so V sits and exercises like that I cannot do. Will get asking about in the gym. Thanks again!

yes i agree..running helps or cardio training. what's your dietary intake like? i think that's the other equation you can work on. it'll take time - i hope you keep this up after the 5 weeks!

I eat well, low carb as I find this works best for me to lose weight. On days that i am doing high intensity I will have porridge or something similar for breakfast. I three meals with snacks in between such as fruit/veg/nuts and drink 2 liters of water per day.

Thanks for the advice, definitely keeping up the exercise, I feel so much better when I do. I cant train this week as I have two huge blisters on the balls of my feet but once they are healed I will be back on it!

Thank you so much for your help

Leg lifts get that pouch area and squats are the backbone of any leg and hip exercise

You are doing an awesome job, great commitment. For tummy you are already on the right track in your cardio, and everyone above has offered great advise also. For butt and hip exercises you can't beat the old lunges and squats exercises. they burn killer calories but most importantly tone up at the same time. What sort of weights are you doing? I would make sure I am focusing on the upper body, keeping that taut and terrific, remember to also do back exercises such as rows, let pull down etc.

when we loose weight and start to shape our bodies we can find that our body shape changes in the areas that we don't want it to necessarily first, then the weight loss redistributes itself to the stubborn areas last (hips & Tum) be patient and with everything you are doing I know that you WILL get the results you are after

    hope that helps
