Default exercise and cellulite: PLS HELP

Become a member to remove this ad.
ive only started exercising recently, i only do the treadmill for about 30 minutes 3 times a week, i cant go to aerobics or other classes bcoz of work.
is this exercise regime im doing going to help with the cellulite i have, i never used to have any visible cellulite till about a year ago and its really depressing.
Do i need to do more or go more often to the gym?

Is there anything that reduces stretch marks, ive been applying tissue oil since i was 17 so its been 10 years now, i thought it worked but now they are appearing on my bums and thighs. Mayb its because i gained over 7 kilos in a year.

    PLEASE HELP

Yes, any exercise that burns fat will help reduce cellulite. Results wont be immediate, so stick at it. Three times a week is sufficient, I would incorporate other exercises if you wanted to, such as the cross trainer or bike. Swimming is a particularly good one for all over toning, perhaps switch a gym session for a swim, or if you have time, swim on another day during the week.

As for stretch marks - they will appear if you have sudden gains or losses in your weight, for example pregnancy, some women are just lucky and never get them. We have Bio-oil over here that I believe is very good. Ladies that are pregnant and know that they're going to have sudden changes in weight will just use a general moisturiser to keep the skin soft and supple, but unfortunately we cant all predict when our weight will fluctuate.

The sad fact is that cellulite is very difficult to get rid of. The right diet and exercise should help, however even some very skinny people have cellulite (have a look for some pictures of Mischa Barton) so it's not always possible.

However, seeing it's a very recent thing for you, you may have a chance!

Eating a diet low in fat, and not drinking much alcohol is supposed to help. I'd also advise mixing up your exercise routine - try using the weights machines and the bike as well. When you do the same exercise routine too often your body gets used to it, and you won't see such great results.

If you find something that works, please let me know. I'm not sure when my cellulite crept up - maybe around my first child at 30. I've never been particularly big. I'm 5'8" and weigh about 140lbs now. My size has fluctuated between an 8 and 10. I've always been pretty active, step aerobics (in the day) and now I'm running BUT my legs are eat up with cellulite. I had resigned myself to the fact that it was simply genetics. If anyone knows something that is tried and true, please let us know. I'm not against putting the time and energy into it if I know that I'll see results!
