    Default P90X Anyone?!?!?!

Hello all! I am starting the P90X workouts on Monday (the 15th). Anyone interested in starting a group?

I am by no means a fitness guru. Actually, I'm a walking marshmallow! I recently lost almost 30 pounds and now I need to tighten and tone every single inch of my body. So I have decided to make a 90 day promise to myself. It isn't going to be easy, so I'll take all the support I can get!!!

Also, I'd love advice from anyone who has already completed a 90 cycle of P90X. Any tips or tricks you could pass on to a BEGINNER?

I'm excited to start this journey, and of course nervous at the same time. I've watched a few of the dvds and I know I will barely be able to do half of the stuff...but I will get there! Tighter bod here I come!!!!

I've done P90X in the past. Here's some advice: do the first week with no weights. If you do use weights, use something lite (2-3 pounds), just so you can get used to the program. If you get tired, don't push yourself. Also, it's great to couple this program with walking/running. Lastly, do the workout in the morning, and don't eat at least an hour before you start.

I need to get back in shape, I'd be happy to start the program on Monday with you. We can keep each other in line. lol I need to have someone to help me stay on task.

Excellent advice, thanks! I was definitely planning on working out before work in the morning, so I'm happy you said that. I wouldn't eat, would probably make me nauseous. And since I'm not in shape at all, I will definitely go through the first week without weights. I've learned in the past that being all gun ho in the beginning never works...just makes it to difficult too fast.

I'm definitely starting Monday...doing the "lean" program. As for dieting, I'm not using the protocol but sticking to those foods. I have my own protein shakes and stuff so I'll be using what I have. Let's keep posting, will definitely help to have some motivation and someone to have to check in with!

I did not, since my insides decided to bleed out of me. lol I know that exercise helps, so I've been walking/jogging a bit to help myself out. I'll be starting the program once my period ends.

Hi! I'm brand new to the site, but thought I'd dive in here. I started P90X on Monday and have been doing my best....though yesterday it was painful lifting my arms over my head! Lol! I've got a P90X partner, but he's a guy, so I know calories/workouts/results are going to be way different. I wanted to find other women who are doing the program to bounce questions off of..... Mind if I join in here?

I'm on Day 5..... I feel like all I do is cook and do dishes. Ugh. Has anyone else started the program yet? It is kicking my fanny. I have no idea what I'm going to do on the days I regularly exercise...double up?

Do not double up with P90X unless your "double" is running/walking. It is not good for your muscles to be over worked by "doubling" on something like strength training.

    Default Day 6

Today is day 6 for me. I am doing the "lean" version and oh my goodness! I am so sore...head to toe. I have Kenpo to do today and have no idea how I am going to get through it! But I will The only thing keeping me sane is that tomorrow is my rest day...thank goodness!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to do my week 1 weigh-in/measurments tomorrow. Just easier for me to do over the weekend than on a Monday. Are you all keeping track? I'd love to see how other women are progressing. I know there won't be changes in 1 week, but if we continue to share with eachother it would help to see others progress.

Hope everyone is enjoying there weekend!!!
