What cup size are you? I think most sports bras are like "one size fits all" kind of a thing. Just go for one that is snug but not so tight that you have flab hanging over the sides of it... Have a little hop inside the changing room and see if it supports your breasts to your liking, and voila.

They aren't one size fits all, that's for sure. If you go to an actual sporting goods store (like Dicks, which is where I go), they will have a wide variety in types and sizes. As with most things, going cheap isn't always the answer. Well, now that I say that, it would partially depend on how big you are. I am very large chested, so a quality sports bra is a must for me. However, if you don't have much flop, it may not matter as much. Make sure to get one that keeps you from bouncing uncomfortably, but doesn't cut off circulation. I know 's offers a bunch of different types, and different types fit differently. I really like the reversible one I got there.

Ah shows what I know. I'm a B though, I see what you're saying, a heavier cup definitely needs a proper fit.

I think you need to know your bra size first. The style depends on you anyway.

also depends on the type of exercise you plan to do. Many sports bra brands are "graded" on their support. If you're going to be running and jump roping you need the highest level of support, if you're going to be doing yoga, a lower level support will do.

Best to just go to the store, try it on and make sure it works for you!

Some of the clothing sites (like Champion) have a "bra finder" selection tool. You might start there.

I actually work for HanesBrands as a Sales Associate so maybe I can help you out a little bit . A lot of sports bras go by your actual bra size (38 B, etc.) and others go by small, medium, etc.. All sports bras have a different support for different activities that you're doing. If you just want to walk or do yoga, a light support bra would be appropriate. If you're doing light jogging or sports like tennis perhaps, a medium intensity would be appropriate. If you're doing running or sports like volleyball then a high intensity would be appropriate. Some sports bras come with a wire, generally that means it has more support but I prefer my sports bras to be wirefree, it's more of a personal preference when it comes to that. If you're unsure what bra size you are, you can go into any bra store and they should be able to fit you and help you find a bra that would be most comfortable and most appropriate for what you need it for. I hope that helped!
