I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week, I do about 1:30 minutes of cardio then I do about 1:30 minutes of weight training!
So I am starting to get on a training program. I am not in awful shape, but I could lose some weight and tone.
Cardio wise, I am good. I play hockey, I can run 5-10 km no problem (Sorry about the KM, I'm Canadian). But I am sort of stagnant in trying to trim down.
So I have planned a new regime.
4 days a week of interval running. 5 days a week of a 15 min toning routine and then I play hockey once a week.
I hope this helps!
What has worked for you?

I've reached a plateau in losing weight too. Lol. I can't say for sure until I measure myself at the end of the month (see fitness challenge part III), but I don't think I'm losing weight or trimming down anymore. I started out jogging and lost a lot of weight. My routine has changed a bit over the year. Now I play basketball once a week and work out in the fitness center 4 or 5 days of the week. I use the elliptical for 45 minutes and lift weights for 30 to 45 minutes. My arms and legs show a huge difference, but I don't notice any more change in losing flab.
I did a bit of research and one of the speed bumps for weight loss is letting your body get used to the same type of workout. I added jogging back in, but since I don't have a track to run on, I have to limit how often I do this or my joints will punish me for it. Lol. Basically, mixing up the workout will produce better results. I'm hoping to see some improvements with the three forms of cardio in the week. Also, lifting weights was important because muscles burn calories. I read an article on livestrong that said a pound of muscle burns 50 or 60 calories.
UGH! I hear you. I've got 13 pounds left until my goal weight and the last month, I've been battling the same 2-3 pounds. They come off, they come back on, off, on, off, on, blah blah blah. I know it is because my body is used to me running but I hate the gym, so I have no interest in going there. I run 4-6 miles a day, 6 days a week. I feel great, I just wish this last little bit would come off. I'm contemplating getting a new bike, I just feel that no matter what I do, nothing gives my body the workout I love like running does.
However, I'm a far cry better than where I was at a few years ago, so I can't complain too much, lol.
Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
I think my biggest problem was I never did any toning. So I am starting to do toning + cardio, and I think I am going to start training again.
Its just a little frustrating, because when I do work -- I leave my house at 5am and get home at 9pm (or 5pm and 9am), and so 3-4 days a week, I have zero desire to do extra exercise.
I am going to try out Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, to just add to my routine -- I can fit in 25 min a day. Then on my days off, I can do more.
Its not really the amount of pounds I weigh that bothers me (as my weight is always way higher than I look), but its more how I look and feel.
Today I did go for a 5km interval run + did an hour walk with my camera just for kicks and some toning + weights. And I know that diet is a huge thing for losing weight -- but I would honestly be fine being 10 lbs heavier as long as once in a while I can enjoy a beer and wings... I`m not about giving up on little things I enjoy for those few extra pounds. (I did find I looked my best when I was training for my triathlon -- so this next spring I`m gonna do another one... but a bigger one).
That sounds exciting! I need to start looking for events like that to really have some fun with my workouts.
