I've lost 30 lbs so far and I'm at 188 lbs now. My goal weight is approx 140 - 145. I have been doing cardio on a Gazelle Elite and pilates for the last 6 weeks. I just purchased a Total Gym. I love it but I'm not exactly sure how to calculate my calories burned. I read the Livestrong.com article and with my weight and moderate to vigorous pace, I'm burning about 200 calories for 30 minutes, according to their estimates. Does that sound about right to you?
My other two questions are.... It seems like I'm losing weight everywhere except my neck and my back, especially just where your bra band would go. What are good exercises for your neck? Especially to get rid of a double chin? Then also the back area?
Thanks for such a great community. I appreciate all your help in this matter.
    Thanks,
    Nancy

Deep breathing is the first step to relieving neck tension. When we breathe in a shallow manner, the muscles of the neck (instead of the diaphragm) contract. To begin to breathe deeply using the diaphragm, sit upright at the edge of a chair with your feet planted firmly on the floor. Make sure the knees are lower than your hips. Place your hands on your belly and close your eyes. As you inhale, feel your belly rise into your hands and as you exhale, feel it fall. Notice any tension in the neck and relax your neck muscles as you direct the breath into the belly.
