    Default Exercising my tummy!

As dorky as this sounds, I'm starting to get a little pudgy around my tummy area and that is not something I am willing to continue any longer the only problem is is that I don't really know anything about exercising. I don't have access to a gym but I'm sure there are things I can do at home that can help me keep a thin tummy in check. Any suggestions/tips/ideas? <3

HECK YES! lol...get off the Xbox! lol kidding...

Try doing some crunches? I do 5 reps of 20. Then I do the "upside down bicycle". Push your bum, and legs up into the air while lying on your back, and pretend you're riding a bike! Its great for your butt too, and it takes a lot of stomach muscles to keep your body up in that position

Okay, I'm naturally blonde and its late so my mind isn't comprehending what you mean when you said, "5 reps of 20". Explain? Lol, I have an idea of what you mean but I want to double check. :3

PS: I was born with a fast metabolism (relatively fast) but when you do nothing but sit around all day and ride around all day (because I ride in the Jeep with Bear when he goes out on calls and do his paper-work while he does the labor) it can kinda over-power that metabolism. Plus, I feel lazy. xD

If you are new to exercise, the most important thing to do is just to get moving. Start out with a brisk walk for 30 minutes three times per day and work up from there. Getting pudgy in the tummy has more to do with all-over body fat composition and where you genetically tend to store your fat. Despite what most people think, and it's a popular myth, you can't "spot reduce", which means you can't select where you lose your fat. You have to overall reduce your body fat composition through exercise and diet. You can, however, strengthen your abdominal muscles with a number of different effective exercises so that when you do lose body fat you will look more toned and achieve that "flat belly" look. You might want to do a YouTube search for exercises like the "plank" "modified plank", "reverse crunch" and abdominal "bicycle" exercises.

    Hope that helps!

Whoops! I'm tired! I meant three times per WEEK, not three times per day! LOL!

Cardiovascular exercise can really help to tone up your entire body. Try going for a few jogs every week! This is something that can do even without access to a gym. Remember to cool down properly with some long stretches.

You can go for long walks or runs every day. Cardiovascular exercise is an absolute necessity when it comes to burning calories. You don't have to run miles every day to get rid of stomach fat. Walking to and from work, if possible, is a good way to integrate exercise into your daily life.
