Default any advice for me??

I am 32 years old, i have 2 boys, 12, and 5. I am a student at the moment, im going through to be a nurse. But i am not starting till feb, i am doing upgrading. I am so nervous that i cant physically do it.
I am always tired and my back and mostly my neck always seems to ache and hurt sometimes (mostly at night) but i am always tired and have no energy. I have never got into exercising but i really really want to because i know it will benefit me.
I am 135 pounds, i have always been between 110 and 120 pounds, but i would say in the past 6 months my metabolism has gone way down hill. (im sure 30's have something to do with it).
After xmas i decided to cut out carbs from my diet and i just went to a lane swim tonight to try and boost my energy to start exercising.
Can anyone give me any advice about weight loss (only about 10 pounds) and a start to a exercise program easy for me to handle ( i am a very busy mom, at least i make that excuse).... what works to help with neck pain too..... its so hard to get energy....

Little things add up in a big way: take the stairs, park at the back of the parking lot, do exercises at your desk (google it,) I remember someone mentioned lifting the milk jug a few times like a barbell while making the kids' lunches.
If you live in a small enough town, walk to do your errands.
One little fitness contraption that I'm in love with is the Gazelle. It's got an infomercial, and I've had the chance to try it out, though I don't own one myself. It functions like a treadmill, minus the impact, so you can save your back and neck and maybe even stretch out some more.
Stretch as soon as you get up in the morning, and before bed. That doesn't have to take more than 5-10 minutes; just get yourself limbered up.
Swimming is already a great low-impact exercise for you to do. Cardio for 30-minute sessions 3+ times a week will be enough for you to not just lose weight, but build muscle and keep you fit.
And make sure you're getting all your vitamins! Don't cut carbs completely; you need to get all the energy-giving vitamins fruits and veggies have to offer you.
Good luck

There are so many thing that can be done, its key to remember that mindset is everything.

As far as diets, get rid of processed sugars! Also if you can cut out any drinks with sugars its an easy thing you can do that will help (water is best)

As far as exercise is concerned anything that gets you breathing heavy is a great start but you should definitley be evaluated for your neck before you begin even the lightest exercise program. You may have an injury you are unaware of and a regimen could make it worse.

yoga and pilates can be great workouts for busy parents. there are a lot of 20 minute DVD's that you could do. Check at Walmart or Target for some inexpensive, and quick home workouts.

You are only 32 girl! You gotta get out there and get your energy back! Don't cut out the carbs completely or you'll completely lose your energy. You have to have a balance of protein and carbs. Start the swimming and whatever other workout you can squeeze into your schedule. Stick to it for a couple weeks and your energy should start to increase. I am 34, have 2 kids and work full-time so I know the struggles! You really have to schedule your work-outs and stick to them like you would any other appt. After you complete them, you'll feel better and realize that they didn't take as long as you thought. Every little bit counts. For example, replace your lunch soda with water, or take a quick walk in the afternoon. You'll start to see and feel a difference. Don't forget to take a daily women's vitamin!

Good luck!
