Denise Austin has a really good get fit fast abs tape. She has an exercise that you can do to specifically strengthen the lower tummy area after kids. Basically core exercises will strengthen the muscles. You will have to lower the fat in that area for the muscle to show. Carbs go straight to the abs so you do want to reduce those.
(white bread, potatoes pasta, beer, pizza, yeast rolls etc)

Jogging helps burn the fat in the tummy area because the area is bouncing and burning the fat. Twists work the love handles and weighted pull downs in the gym.

I really like to do bicycle crunches, reverse crunches, and also regular crunches. I like to do my regular crunches on a stability ball, this seems to help with the lower abs.

    Default crunches and bulking up?

I have been small all of my life, even after having kids. i weigh about 106. But in the last cpl yrs, i guess aging, and my new bf taking me out to eat a lot, I've developed what I call a pouch.
I've been told to do crunches, and reverse crunches.
But someone else told me since I have that bit of loose skin/fat there, crunches would only make the muscles bulk up, and just make the pouch more defined.
does anyone know the answer as to how to lose the pouch?

I don't know if anybody can help me, but I have just started doing crunchies nightly, and I have heard that u cannot do them when u r on ur period, does anyone know if there is any truth behind this?? I don't want to ruin my routine, but if it is true I don't want to take the chance of causing any problems.

I've never heard of not being able to do them while you're on your period. Maybe they mean their cramps are too bad.

Weighted crunches are the best.. 100 useless sit ups are too time consuming.. do 3 sets of 8-12 weighted..

Hello, I am also one of those flabby after being a Mother ladies. I have noticed a pooch starting to grow too. I too have done the Denise Austin exercise routine for years and stopped doing it for health reasons last year. Once again I am able to do the tummy exercises with her and am seeing results already after 2 weeks. It's a very good program. It works. (smile) Diana
