Is the weight loss slower when lifting weights? I am trying to lose weight. I have a Total Gym that I work out on every other day plus I walk every other day. But my weight is up and down. I am 42 yrs. old.

Wait, I thought the total gym was just supposed to tone you up. It's not cardio, right? You would need to work more cardio into your workout to see any weight loss.

my best suggestion is to stop weighing yourself and just measure up.
weight fluctuations are perfectly normal for women, also muscle weighs more than body fat, so weight alone is no indication of the effectiveness of your training.
i have given away the scales long ago, best thing i ever did
i do yoga and have dropped a dress size in 12 month (slow and steady but lasting).
