Cool Not allowed to work out.

Okay, so I'm a couple of sizes bigger than what I used to be. Half of my pants either fit tight, or don't fit at all anymore. I used to not have time for workouts and I always told myself I'd do somemthing at home but I'm just too tired or too busy after work, etc. I recently got a gym membership at LA Fitness. I love it there. I got a free session with a trainer and she taught me a whole lot about different work outs. I was really into it. We worked out so hard [great workout] that the next day I was extremely sore all over! That same day, however, we got into a bad wreck and I am not not allowed to work out or do anything hard or heavy.. I'm not even allowed to drive for a while, due to the "psychological reasons" [they think I'll panic when I hear or see a sudden movement] but I have to drive to get to school, work, etc. Now I hurt my right knee pretty bad because I was sitting in the passenger's seat and I had my legs crossed, so my i hit my knee on the dashboard and I fractured my left wrist, and hurt my right shoulder and left lower-rib [where the seatbelt crosses]. I feel good now, but I'm still not allowed to work out or do any physical excercise. Big problem is; summer is only a couple of months away and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to lose all the weight I gained and look good in shorts and a small shirt, or in a bathing suit. I'm a water person. I'm always drinking water. Only every once in a while I'll have a soda or some juice. Oh and lately I've also been drinking one Slim Fast a day. For the first few days I had to use the bathroom often because thats what it does; it speeds up the metabolism, but now I don't know if it's even doing anything anymore. Today I went and bought a new pack because I have just one left. So, is this a good idea? Who has tried Slim Fast and was happy with the results? Also, anything else I can do to lose all this not-so-pretty belly?

I think you'd be better off cutting calories and taking a multivitamin. Slim fast has a lot of sugar in it. You'd be better off snacking on a variety of fruits and vegetables. That way you'll be getting real food rather than drinking and you will feel fuller for longer. Or a package of plain oatmeal with cinnamon and some dried cranberries of cut up a banana for it.

Slimfast makes me have pretty bad indigestion. It's a really convenient meal on the go, but I can never drink more than one per day.
I don't know if you know, but adrenaline is known to trigger panic attacks. Did they tell you if you can do stretching exercises? That could be a relaxing alternative that will keep you ready to work out again when you get the green light.
