It hurts a bit. But something that small will go fast. Have you ever been stung by a bee or had a sunburn? If you have then that's about what it feels like. Small price to pay for a decoration you'll have for life.![]()

To me it felt more like something scratching or irritating my skin right there. It hurts moreso at first and then the pain chills out as your endorfins get flowing (to take care of the pain). Once they stop with the tattoo-ing, you get an AWESOME rush of still-pumping endorfins. You'll feel fantasticcccccccccccc!!!!!!!!!!
Tattoos are not that painful and totally worth it.
Cheers.
I think most of the places you are considering would be more painful than some others, but it shouldn't be unbearable, particularly if it's a small tattoo.
I have to say that I honestly think ankle tattoos look trashy 100% of the time. But that's just my own perception and you can take it on board or not. My one and only tattoo is on my lower back, which most people refer to as a "tramp stamp" so the location of mine is mocked a lot too! But I didn't get some meaningless sunburst or mass of flowers. Mine has symbolism TO ME and that's all that matters.
I knew a girl who had a star tattooed on the inside of her wrist and that looked pretty nice in my opinion. And it's fairly easily covered with some bracelets if you go that route.
Well some people say that you shouldn't tempt fate, and for them I can not disagree. But I never learned nothing from playing it safe; I say fate should not tempt me. I take my chances.
It's still on there in blue sharpie now.. Hopefully sometime this week. Well by the end of this month I should have it already. And Sourpuss, no I have never in my life been stung by a bee lol but I have had horrible sunburns since I am probably one of the lightest Mexicans anyone will ever meet :P
Ahh snowflakes are beautiful ;]

The ankel is a great place for a woman to get a tattoo.
depending on what you want, and I know you said a small snow flake here are (in my opinion) good places to put one.
A)- Lower end of the back, just above the butt.
This a great spot for a tribal design.
B)- The hip.
This is a nice spot for something small like a little bird or flower of some sort.
Also this is spot that a man can appreciate while you too encounter your times.
C)- Ankel.
A spot for something nice such as a braclet type tattoo, or the snow flake like you mentioned. Maybe have like 3 flakes different sizes.
D)- Top of foot.
this is also a nice place for something small such as your snow flakes yor thining of. Again maybe 3 or 4 of them different sizes.
These are my top 4 spots for a woman and you can usually cover them up if you have dress up for occassions or work. All depends of your body, how you dress, and what you get. I think that those 3 factors depends on sex appeal also. Just keep in mind that women should usually have thin/smaller tattoos. Its just a matter of taste/opinion but I find a big tattoo on a women is NOT that sexy and/or attractive.
FYI
any place bonie is gonna hurt
"You know the way a poem sometimes makes an absurd connectionThat's himLyrically professing his affection...""Never humour a fool for he will think he is a wise man"
I've heard that several times.. The bony places hurting.. I'm not that bony tho so I should be okay.
My best friend is coming to visit me not this weekend, but the next. Annnddddd....! We will both be getting a tattoo :] I'm not sure what she'll get tho, bt I am most def. getting my snowflake <3
Aww thank you all so much for your help!! I'll let y'all know how it turns out. I will put a picture of it in one of the albums. Right now there's a pic of what I want, but thats not mine.. It's just a picture I found online.. But it will look something very similar to that..
Again, thank you all soo very much for your help and encouragement![]()

Late to the thread once again. Oh well. I want a big one (the scroll work ones) on my lower back but I don't like pain and I am afraid I could (outside chance) be allergic to the dye. Irrational fear, I know.![]()
La Vita Loca
Well...did you do it? did you get the tattoo Miss Goddess?? Where?? Sooo curious...
I have a tattoo and I chose to place it in a spot that had meaning to me. Left rear section of my hip about the size of my splayed hand. A Stylized peony...Ive been told it looks sort of like a dragon. I call it my dragonflower. I have never regretted getting it, not ever. And like Sorrid I went with something sizable as well as graphic and strong...but thats me.
I consider myself open minded but for some reason, I just cant get past seeing a tattoo on a woman in an office environment. I like to think of a tattoo on a woman as a surprise...the idea of a snowflake behind your ear appeals. I think it would look very feminine and pretty. Also, consider the groove where your hip meets your thigh, sexy but still discreet...and a great spot to invite a kiss
Creativity is the ability to illustrate what is outside the box from within the box.
All those sound nice. Who knows, maybe later I'll get another one.
Yep, I already got my tattoo!! I went earlier today actually. My best friend was in town [she evacuated and came here due to the hurricane Ike] so she went with me. It didn't hurt like i expected it to. Felt somewhat like a cat scratch hah.
I put two pictures up. One of the arm just to show placement. The other is a close up. I love it
I'm surprised I didnt end up chickening out of it..
Thanks for egging me on!!
