I've found that people often feel like you do when they don't have a purpose.

Volunteer in your community. Give your time and love to someone who needs you. Your hair, or skin will seem far less important when someone actually needs YOU, as a person.

Sweetie.. first off, let me say that i personally think you are beautiful. You can disagree with me all you like, but think about it.. Everybody here thinks the same as me. Except you! Is there anybody in your life who puts you down? I really do think you need to see somebody about this. You say you've been in counselling since you were ten.. do you mind telling me why?

I have always been heavy. I have Polycystic Ovaries so it makes it difficult for me to lose weight. When i was 17 i weighed 16 stone. I wasn't happy with my weight as i felt tired all the time, couldn't motivate myself etc.. but i still felt pretty. I then lost a load of weight, went down to 10 stone, now i'm 11 stone after having my son but i want to lose the extra stone so i can feel healthier. But what i'm trying to say is even if you were fat (which you are NOT btw) it doesn't mean you are disgusting. The problem is all about how YOU are looking at yourself. Because i'm telling you hun, you are definately seeing something that the rest of us aren't!

I think all the suggestions posted here are worth a go. I don't think you need to change anything about your appearance, just your way of thinking.

I know I and others have suggested before, as Sourpuss just did, that you try volunteering because getting outside of yourself and getting your focus off of yourself, while interacting positively with people who are far worse off than you are, really can be beneficial. But you have to find what works for you. Your job involves working with people who need help so perhaps you would do better to find something that gets you out with nature, which can be very healing. How about someplace like Cathedral Pines County Park or Prosser Pines CountyNature Preserve?

Sweetie, you have a lot going for you; you have an education - your writing reflects that, a family with resources, believe it or not you are attractive, and you are intelligent. Have you considered more education?

What do you consider fun? When was the last time you had fun? I mean something that really got you laughing and just forgetting all the stuff in your head? Are there any movies that you consider real side splitters? When was the last time you got yourself a big bunch of balloons and took them for a walk? Wore a goofy hat and big sunglasses and went out and smiled at people? Skipped instead of walked? You need to find your inner child and love and entertain her. It sounds like you got stuff as a kid, more than love, understanding or fun?

I do NSO for a team right now. (Non skating official) But I really wanna get my butt on skates a referee. Many of my friends are against it bc I had spinal surgery last summer (hence the scar on my throat) but NSO is just not what I want out of it.
