Unhappy Good way to improve horrible self-esteem?

I used to suffer from really bad depression and I've just started recovering from it.

To give a little background on what caused my depression, it had to do a lot with my image. See I'm a girl with terribly small breasts (A cup, though I think I'm actually an AA), frizzy curly hair and short. I've had to put up with negative comments from guys and "friends" that would look at my best friend and comment how great her breasts looked ony to look at me with obvious pity only to then recommend me getting implants when old enough. same people would tell me to get my "ugly hair permanently straightened" and then maybe I'd look better...

I ditched the "friends", went to a psychologist and I'm better, but I've been left with really horrid self-esteem... how can i improve it?

edit: just to give insight as to why my self esteem is still bad is because i still receive negative comments from A LOTof people. Just yesterday a "friend" of mine said I had such an abnormal body and looked at me with such disgust I almost cried then and there. She said my breasts were so small it was pitiful and my hips were so big they look like they don't belong to me... i get comments like this a lot...

my measurmenets are: 32 (bust) 24 1/2 (waist) 35 (hips)

Well one good way to improve your self esteem is to get ACTUAL friends! People who put you down like that are NOT your friends, nooooo way.

Don't worry about your breast size. Yeah women are obsessed with big boobs cuz that's all they see in the media, but these women's partners usually appreciate their breasts no matter the size. I'm small myself and have only had very happy partners. And a guy friend of mine pretty much only goes for very small breasted women.

There's a popular thread floating around here about small breasts, check it out.

In the end it all depends on preference, but in that department, I think you'll be fine!!

All those idiots deserve a good whack upside the head. Ain't nothing wrong with the way you look.

A cups can be very cute, especially on a petite frame. Which I assume you have if you say you're short.

Realize that the people that put you down like that probably have self esteem issues of their own and feel they need to dump on you in order to boost their own egos. But better yet, stop associating with 'friends' that treat you like that and go make new friends that like you for who you are and not for who or what they think you should be.

oh these people are just not friends if they are saying things like that.

I dont see anything wrong with the measurements you listed. they are very close to Alexis Bledel (from Post Grad) and she is gorgeous.

there are tons of good looking models with measurements like yours. just do a search and you'll find a bunch.

one of my friends has almost the exact same measurements as you do, and she is breathtaking.

just remember, an awful lot of being attractive is in attitude and how you carry yourself. know you are attractive, act like you are attractive, and others will see it too!

the bottom line is that whoever said that to you isnt really a friend, and is just knocking you down to make themselves feel better.

    I'd kill for a 24.5 inch waist..

I'm thinking your "friend", is actually jealous of you personally...

I'm sure her measurements are alot thicker around the waist, and also around her ears

You need to ditch her as well, she's not only negative which your avoiding, but not a good friend, she's playing on your mind, when in reality, as I said, I'm betting she's jealous of your body
Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
    It doesn't happen over night
