I don't think thin hair is bad at all...infact sometimes i think it even looks better than really thick hair!

Its ugly if you dont fix yourself. Sometimes, you need to consider several options. I love thinner hair

I have thin fine hair. it doesn't take much for it to look scraggly/messy especially when it is long.

I decided I needed a boost so I watched the daily deal sites until there was a heavily discounted cut and style deal at a fancy hairdressers. I checked out their work on their website, asked my friends making, and contacted the store before buying the voucher to make sure they were experienced with my hair type.

I said I wanted to retain the below the should length and did not want a short fringe but otherwise I would leave the style to their professional opinion.

They were able to cut delicate layers which gave my hair volume with very little maintenance required.

Perhaps a similar experience would be good for you? Spoil yourself and learn how to love what you have.

There are also some sites ( Google or Bing them) that let you take a photo of yourself, make sure it's a Straight on Pic, from Breast up, Face shot, That you can download on their site and "Try On " different looks, Styles and Colors.

Some sites even let you " try on Make Up "... With the Hair style one, it's a Drag and Drop type.

I used to have thick hair, Long and Straight, to waist, then due to my work, cut it mid back, now to just below shoulder, more layers to add the " Thickness ". It actually looks thicker and fuller as the weight of the length, dragged it down .

I had really thin hair and was so concious of it. I got some tablets though from some natural shop and they worked really well and now my hair is thickening

I know how you feel!! My hair is also very thin and fine. I get it from my grandma genetically. Though my hair is also curly. As you said, thin hair gets tangled soo easily. I swear after brushing my hair, and then just turning my head creates tangles. I am sure the curlyness also doesn't help. Which is sad, I always see the couples where the man runs his fingers through the womans hair... with my fiance his fingers just get stuck LOL! at least I can have a little laugh about that.
I am living in China at the moment, and I always felt jealous of everyone's hair, where it seemed thicker and perfectly straight.
Though I have learnt to live with and accept my hair. I read an early post saying to have some layers in it. Try that, it should create some volume. I usually back-comb my hair to creat a little more volume (as I know the thin hair can really make your hair flat), though I heard that back-combing is not healthy for the scalp, though I am not sure if that is true or not... so I don't know if I should recommend you to that or not.
Also, I have read a couple posts about some vitamin and mineral suppliments you could try. Even though you are not losing hair, it still could provide your body with some vitamins your body may lack. Perhaps that is just the genetics of it, that your body does not produce enough of the certain vitamin in your hair that makes it thick. I may look around and try it out myself and see how it works for me.
Anyways, a lot of it has to do with seeing what works with the best for you and your hair and to try different things. It took me a long time to find out what is best for my hair(even though it still has its frustrations)
Anyhoo, I hope you found some good advice, I wish you the best!
    你好

I have thick straight hair and trust me it's not all that, I never can style it it always manages to fall back straight...perms never took either.
    I rather have thin hair!

But once I was shedding my hair and was really worried, I asked around and the pharmacist said maybe the shedding was due to a lack of iron in my system...maybe try iron vitamin's.
Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
