Smile Don't Let Asthma Control Your Child's Life!

Growing up with asthma was as difficult as it sounds. Although gym class was supposed to be the most fun part of the day, I dreaded it. I always had to go to the nurses's office before and after gym to use my inhaler. Fortunately, my asthma is not nearly as severe as it once was. For the most part, I have "grown out of it." For those of you whose children have just been diagnosed with asthma, this can be conquered!! However you must know, never keep your child from running jumping-just being a kid- because he or she might need to use an inhaler afterward. In the contrary, these things will help your child to overcome his or her asthma. If your child IS having an asthma attack, you may want to stick by his or her side to make sure the inhaler is being used properly and also for support. A glass of water may also help. May sure you child's inhaler is not expired...these things get overlooked sometimes. For all of you who have been diagnosed with asthma....ALWAYS keep an inhaler with you...sometimes attacks sneak up on you when they are least expected!
