    Question Asthma ?

First of all . I am sorry if I spelled that wrong.

I am wondering if I could have asthma , however , most of what I read on it was unspecific , I suppose that is because everyone is able to have a different kind of trigger. Still I dont know.

My issue is that when I am tickled or laugh for any length of time , I lose the ability to breath , and cough a lot. Deep coughs that I can feel in my chest and make it hurt some. Its a lot worse if I am lying down so that i have to sit up or stand up . And still I cant catch my breath or stop coughing for several minutes. On some occasions I have also started hyperventilating .I generally do not end up wheezing .And I have done this for as long as I can remember . Generally its only laughing that sets this off. I can exercise for as long as I want. I attended band camp for several years and had no problems. Its not allergies , as I have no known food/medicine allergies and this happens no matter the season , so it cant be seasonal allergies. Which is why I wasnt that worried , but now I have had a couple of instances where I can be just walking down the hall and find that the air doesnt seem to have enough oxygen in it . I just cant manage to take in enough to really breath. But I dont start coughing like I do after I have been laughing.

I am planning on making a doctors appointment for next week. But I am curious if it is possibly asthma , and if anyone else knew if laughing was a trigger... I really dont know much about the subject , other than what I could find online. And I dont always put much stock in sites that can be easily edited by any user , so I figured I might as well ask on here . So if anyone could please tell me a little more about this and if it sounds like asthma , I would really appreciate it.

    Hi Mme.Marie

I would think that you've been to the Doctors by now, but not being able to breathe properly is not good.

Let us know how you went. Or if you haven't gone so other's may reply.
