I am really concerned about what is happening to me. I have had constant muscle twitches in my left calf for about 6 weeks now with no relief. I can describe them as tiny bubbling feelings to muscle thumps and they are driving me crazy. It is only in my one leg and I have done some research and I have myself believeing that I have the horrible disease---ALS. Has anyone else had this kind of symptom with twitching in one area? I have no weakness at all in my leg that I am aware of. Please help ease my mind,,,,anyone.....

Okay, dont panic. How old are you? ALS is commonly associated with over 50's. Also, unless youre developing loss of function in your leg, like tripping up all the time... i dont think it'll be ALS. To put your mind at rest furthermore, people with ALS will notice that the symptoms are mainly in their hands and feet.

I get twitching and pins and needles in my legs often... mainly at night. Yet, because your experiences are constant it could be a number of curable things: -

Excess of lactic acid build up (do you exercise regulary?)

Excessive caffine consumption, stress, diet deficiency, lack of sleep etc...

However, to put your mind at total rest, i highly recommend going to see a neuro-specialist.
