Hello Ladies!!! I am 40 years old and my hair stopped growing a couple of years ago. It is MUCH shorter than it used to be, but I haven't cut it. It is getting thinner too but not really falling out. Any ideas??? The doctors just keep taking my blood and testing, with no answers so far. Steph

Hair is made of dead protein, so really, there isn't a way for it to die because it is already dead. However, the root where your hair comes out of your head is alive, and it sends the dead proteins out of your head to create your hair, and the growing effect. So to answer your question, no, your hair is not dying, but it is possible the pores where your hair grows could be. I wish I knew more or could tell you more, but I hope that helped a little.
