    Question Severe Menstral Issues.. Help?

I am having some pretty severe issues going on, and I am trying to find out if anyone has/had or knows about what's going on with me, because the more I can figure out, the less I need to rely on going to the doctor, because I do not have health insurance and live off of student grants right now...

I have been on my period, minus two three-day periods on between, since this past thanksgiving. It's always been two tampons a day, every day. The past few days, I have been bleeding excessively - I woke up one morning at seven because I could feel the blood coming, put a tampon in, and when I woke up again at 830, by the time I got to the bathroom from the bedroom I was dripping blood everywhere, and that was with the tampon in that I had put in just a few hours before. Since then the bleeding has gone down, but it's still four or five tampons a day. I've noticed a foul odor in the past few days, and it's not your typical yeast infection odor. I can smell it in my clothing, and if I put my hand anywhere near that area, my hands need washed because they smell like it too. I am on a pretty regular sex schedule, three to four times a week, and every time my boyfriend and I have sex I bleed.

I can't afford ten trips to the doctor, but I don't want to not go if it turns out to be something severe. Anyone gone through, or knows someone, who's gone through something similar? Thanks.

Need to go to the doctor. It wont take 10 trips. Likely 1...or 2 at the most. Our bodies go through some weird things, and everyone is a little different. You need to see an obgyn, rule out the serious, and let him/her help you to make this better. Wouldn't it be nice to be off your period for a while?
