    Question Kidney stones? Or worse?

During Christmas, I began experiencing lower back pain, lack of energy, abdominal discomfort and even some nausea. Went to Quick Care as both my general dr and obgyn were out for the holidays. Urine tested slightly positive for white cells, blood, and protein. I took Bactrum for 5 days, felt better. This week, the lower back pain (flank area) has returned, and I have weird little sharp pains (not excrutiating or anything)...and also an uncharacteristic lack of energy.

I went in today for my annual Obgyn visit, and asked to have a urinalysis done. They didn't see anything immediately, but sent it off for the 72 hr culture. I thought sure there'd be blood in my urine or something to explain what has been happening. And I thought sure I'd walk out of there today with answers, medicine, and hope to feel better. But no.

Now, i will await Monday to find out my urinalysis results. If they show nothing, I'll have to schedule with my General doctor to try and discover what's going on. Someone mentioned possibility of kidney stones...but when I read about them most symptoms said you'd have sudden excrutiating pain. I don't have that. I have a constant, achy, nagging feeling in my lower back, frequent upset stomach (taking prilosec daily to try and help) and even feel like I have some pain in my rib cage.

If any of you have experienced anything like this....please share. This is starting to really wear on me and make me feel like something is really wrong.

I am not a doctor and cannot give any medical advice.

possibly a urinary tract infection that has spread to your kidneys.
