Thread: Swollen, red, itchy.....

Hi there, I been experiencing the same problem for the last 2 weeks. It's almost the end of winter. Initially I thought it was just that I been wearing lots of shoes or boots as opposed to wearing sandals in summer. I thought it was just the start of blisters from wearing heels all day as it was around my big toe and 3rd and 4th toe. It's now become more itchy under the soles and heels of my feet and especially at night. However, I've been googling this all day as my feet is extremely sore and itchy today. I try to soak my feet in almost hot, salted water before bed and also using Lamisil fungal cream as I thought it may be the start of athlete's foot. I doubt that though as I take good care of my feet and practice good hygiene. Nothing seems to be working. I am awaken every night by itchy painful feet. I really need some help...becoming rather concerned....Please help!!

I have had the same...red almost blister looking swollen areas on my toes mainly my left foot. It is very annoying and hurting when i walk.After i have a shower the red areas seem to go a greyish purple colour maybe cause of the heat? i have been to the doctor and he said a seasonal allergy...he told me to take anti histamine tablets which havnt really helped. I also have tried with hazel liquid, i read it is good for swelling but it isnt helping either. I dont want to bleach my foot! eeeep so are there any other proven options?
