    Question late 30's crisis

I just wanted to see if anyone else my age is baffled by all the changes our bodies and minds are going through.
I feel like someone else completely!!! So many ladies my age have complained about the same things...but I want to hear specific incidents of change.
I am 38, I have had 6 children (the last of which are twins - 5 years old now) had my tubes tied and have been recently diagnosed with problems such as hormone imbalance and thyroid problems. Is there any help???
I have gained over 25 pounds in the last 8 months, seen a drastic change in my lifestyle, energy level, libido, hair, skin and moods.
Please someone tell me I'm going to get through it, and HOW please!!!

Well you are kind of young for menopause if that is what you think you are hitting. Why not get a complete physical with blood work and see what comes that shows? Take a good hard look at your diet and exersize levels as well as stress factors. My late 30s were a while ago and I went through some life changes during that time but they weren't age related just relationship and lifestyle.

Check out the Woman's Advantage Diet. it teaches you to coordinate the hormone shifts in your monthly cycle with your diet to regulate your hormones, get a healthy weight and feel active and alert. It won't hurt you and just might help!

I am so there with you. I’m 34 and have had a crazy libido, fast growing facial hair, sensitivity to cold; I can’t sleep at night but am exhausted during the day. Finally it was the fact that I work out for 1-2 hrs a day 5-6 days a week and every time I step on the scale I have gained weight that caused to me to go to the doctor. Today they said I have an underactive thyroid they want to give me a few more tests to make sure. I’m just thankful that it may be something fixable. However I already have Ulcerative colitis and this will be just one more medication in a sea of pills and IV drips. Hopefully this medication will offer a modicum of normalcy.
