Stomach Problems

I have been having a burning sensation in my stomach for weeks now. Along with severe heartburn, especially after I eat tomato sauce or anything spicy, and I also drink a lot of soda. I am also starting to feel sick to my stomach. Has anybody had this problem? I could really use some advice. Thanks.

I started having some heartburn a little while back--it would usually hit after eating spicy or too many fatty foods. Antacids helped, but using them regularly can get expensive! It also hit when I reached my peak (over)weight. I've been trying to lose a few pounds and also eat more lean/high fiber and fewer fatty foods, and am drinking more water, and have not had problems since. I am not sure whether eating healthier and losing weight actually made the change, but I had read about these things on an online medical site, so I gave them a try.
Hope this helps--maybe your situation is different from mine, and something else is causing the problem? Hopefully others can offer opinions as well.
