Hello there. Over tha post couple of years i ahve been experiencing bumps on my elbows and knees more frequently and sparcely on other areas. sometimes they come linger for a while and sometimes completely dissappear. they dont scratch or hurt but not pleasant looking. afriens sggested i watch my sugar as she has similar bumps before. i notice if i ut off sugar completely they dissappear after few months i discovered that comsuming unprocessed sugar was the cause .ie loose sugar in tea, icing, homemade drinks etc. if i drank can drinks, ate cakes no problems. but once on a while keeping strictly to this regime one or two appear. av also been a victim of mouth ulcers since i was a child but ever since i discovered this reaction to sugar and have stopped taking all unprocessed sugar i have never again experienced ulcers. Can someone please advice. my doctor have tested my blood sugar and we do not have diabetes in the family

You may be allergic or sensitive to the plant source, commonly sugar cane or sugar beets. In most processed foods the primary sweetener is corn based. It's not clear how you are defining unprocessed sugar. But most of us comsume far too many sweets. You may try having only cane sugar for a while and see what happens. Chances are if it is beet sugar it simply won't say Cane.

    Default further explanation

by processed sugar i mean sugar thats cooked in some way..like eg i can eat cake and have no problem but if i eat icing then i have a problem. if i put lumps of sugar in tea- problem so i use sweetners. if i eat like muffins or pastry with sugar sprinkled on top then problem. Its wierd i know but i dont know how to exolain it further. so generally i dont eat a lot of sweety stuff
