I believe people often misunderstand what an extravert or an introvert is

    I understand it to be:

Introvert: Recharges their batteries alone or in limited company

Extravert: Recharges their batteries around others

I am what is know as S 'Social Introvert' I can be life and soul of the party but it takes a lot of energy from me and I enjoy my own company more than most

THIS! This is what I feel exactly! It's all about how you recharge your batteries, not about if you're social or anti-social... If you're "peculiar" (to put it nicely) and can't get along with people and would rather rock yourself in a dark corner like Gollum, then you're not an introvert, you're just a strange person who might need a little counseling.

I'm normal, I'm happy, I'm out-going, and I'm also an introvert, thank you very much!

I like that description of how one recharges one's batteries. I most certainly am an introvert of the highest order.

Hmm, solitude might actually be a 'fuel' for me in some way. It allows me to recharge and reorganize. I tend to get grumpy if I have to go for long periods with other people constantly around me. I need that little bit of space free of outside distractions.

Some think it weird of course. I've never been one to go to bars and clubs, and parties haven't ever ranked high on my list of priorities. It's not that I'm scared to interact with people.. I don't have problems talking to others.. but I've just never found those kinds of activities very satisfying.
you must be my twin from another's skin
