    Unhappy Concern over pain

Im only 20 and yet over the past few years I have noticed a pain developing in my leg joints. It started in secondary school as just a dull pain that I barely noticed, now its become a lot more painful and now my hip has become stiffer and can be painful even when lying down. This sounds like something that shouldn't happen to someone young. I don't want to go down doctor coz he isn't very nice and I don't like wasting time.

did you do any sports in your childhood? anything that could affect your joints? I did figure skating for 7 years and my joints (knees and hips) sometimes can become painful. Maybe go to a nice doctor to check it out?

It's possible that you have a form of Arthritis, which is in the joints and does create stiffness.

Does it get worse when the weather is cold?

I didn't really do a lot of sport, just the normal although i can seem to 'pop' the joints of my hips. It was mentioned to my mum but she just said 'you don't have arthritis as you wouldn't be able to walk now'. So now im very unsure about going to the doctor about it in case im wasting his time. The pain seems to be worse on humid days

Well, I would go to the Doctors that is what they are there for, your not wasting their time, it could be calcium deficiency, let him guide you and tell him/her sorry, what you have told us..

Stiffness in warm weather, doesn't sound like Arthritis, it's usually worse in cold weather.
