Ok this has been keeping me from sleeping...and is driving me bonkers! to the point of sitting up in bed and rocking back and forth!

its as if...hmm theres a few ways to describe it

your toenails and finger nails are being pushed upwards (not in a painful way but a slow, cringey ache)

(this may apply just to me) running my nails down velvet (against the grain)

or running your toe nails and fingernails down a blackboard

Its horrible! I dont know if its mental or physical but i do know its driving me slowly mad. It feels as if my toes dont belong to me anymore...i know that sounds nuts but its like im wearing someone elses toes...really CANNOT explain to you what I mean by it...you'd know if you felt it

I've looked over the internet for people experiencing the same thing but there isn't a thing

You could have a serious vitamin deficiency, slowing the blood flow (circulation)to those areas and creating pain... see if you soak them in warm water, if it goes away for a period.

Or, an extreme would be if there is any discolouration you can note, under the nails, it can be a form of Psoriatic arthrisis so go see a dermatoligist.

Either way, naturally you know I'm going to tell you off you go, go see a Doctor...

There are other things it can be as well, such as Diabetes, or even Multiple sclerosis as far as "tingly toes" goes.....

Try warm water to start with though and soak your toes and see if that relieves as this could suggest blood circulation, deficiency in vitamins and you can pose that question and what happened when you soaked your feet to your Doctor.
