Hello! My name is Heather and I am generally a healthy person. I have never had anything serious wrong with me until about 8 weeks ago. I started having what felt like pain under my heart and went straight through to my back. Some girls from my work drove me to the hospital and I was told that it was my gall bladder and given some pain medicine. I was out of it until the following afternoon when they told me that I had some gallstones causing a blockage and I was going in for endoscopic surgery to remove them and to insert a stint. I came out of the surgery and felt great. I started to eat and just couldn't. Something wasn't right. After a very painful night, I was told that I had pancreatitis from the endoscopy. They increased my pain medicine and once again I was out of it for two days. When I woke up I was told that I was going to the ICU and that I needed to sign a waiver for treatment to have a PIC line put in and at the time I had no idea that that meant I was going to be there a while. Over the next couple of weeks I was not allowed to eat and my bowels had become paralyzed. Family would come into my room with scared looks and crying. After two weeks, things started to slowly get better and I went home a day after my 3 week anniversary. I ended up coming back to the hospital that night. The pancreatitis was flaring up because of my gall bladder being bad. Once again I was given pain medicine again and knocked out over my b-day (May9th) and mothers day. The following day I was taken to surgery to have my gallbladder taken out. I was released on Thursday. It has been a month since my surgery and I am still exhausted all the time. The doctor keeps telling me to give it time but can't give me any advice to help the process along. Any ideas to help boost my energy? I am still restricted for another 2 weeks before I can work out. I am desperate...
