really bad gas and bloating not even on my period
Hi my name is Jill I really could use some help I have really bad gas and bloating. My gi doctor dose not want to give me any medicine untile after I have surgery on August the 3 he want to see if that help get rid of the gas and bloating that I've had for a very long time I've had several test done it is not my gallbladder he said it has to do with my periods so my obgyn has agree to do a complete hysterectomy when I'm on my period I get really bad cramps gas and bloating I've had this problem for 7 years now. I've tried several different birth control pills was not able to stay on them every one I tried I got really sick on. So my surgery is not for 5 more weeks. I was thinking of trying a colon cleasning kit over the counter to see if that will help with the gas and bloating I'm not on my period right now and still get the gas and bloating. Has anyone tried one if so what work for them. Any help or feed back would be great I was given free simple of Celebrex but it not work for me. Thanks Jill Closs

do you get really bad cramps especially when you eat something? what BC's have you taken? What are you getting the surgery for...seems like you might have IBS. it's very common with women. 1 out of 5 people have it. look it up..and see if the symptoms fit you. IF they do ..you might want to bring it up with your GI doc.
Sounds like a food intollerance to me. I would certainly educate myself about it and do some food elimination to see before I had radical surgery. Gas and bloating are digestive, not reproductive problems, but hormone changes throughout the monthly cycle can change your responses to various foods. Get a copy of the Woman's Advantage Diet and read the first few chapters, he explains this pretty clearly.
Wilechild, Hi my name is Jill I went to a gi doctor he did every test there was and to check to see if it might be my gallbladder because in the area around my gallbladderis where I'm having all of the pain he found nothing wrong with me I ask hime if I have IBS he said maybe but no sure. I also ask him if he think I might be latcsto to all milk products I aks him if he would do the blood test to find if I was he said no after I had my last test from that gi doctor and that test came back negative he said there was nothing more he could do for me. after that I was not geeting any support or help from him so I switch to a new gi doctor told him all about my problem. I told my new gi doctor about the problem that I was having with my stomach he said he think it has to do with my periods not my gallbladder . Two year ago my OBGYN did suryery to see if I have endometrisit my result came back negative from the surgery so she said 1 year done the road if I was still having problem she would to a hystercetomy. I was put on the IBS diet it was not help also my doctor put me on a lactos free diet that did not help I tried several different birth control they all make me sick. Dairy intollerance isn't necessarily lactose intollerance. If you are not pure caucasion dairy is a big suspect: 5% of 'white' people are dairy intollerant and that is mostly lactose intollerance, people of African decent are more than 50% dairy sensitive and Asian decent (including Native Americans) more than 95% are intollerant. That intollerance can include responses other than lactose intollerance.
Most food sensitivites cannot be found through a blood test or skin test. The only way to tell is to remove the food from your diet entirely for 2 to 8 weeks and then reintroduce it and see what happens. A reaction can be immediate or take several days. Before you actually schedule surgery why not exhaust all other possibilities and talk with an allergist who specialises in food sensitivities and to a nutritionist ?
You might also want to read The Yeast Connection and If You Love Me Don't Feed Me Junk. Surgery is a permanent action and doing it in the absence of certainty is an iffy proposition. You have to do what is right for you but so give some thought to exploring all the options.
Only when I'm on my period and the week before my period

He said I think you might have IBS but not sure because you only get it on my period. Also I aks him if he would do a blood test o see if I was lactos to all milk products because at the time I was on a milk from diet. I would do the blood test. After my last test from him my test result came back negative he said there was nothing else he could do for me. I could not even get medicine from him to help if I did have IBS. So I switch to a new gi doctor I told him all bout my problem with my stomach he said he think it has to do with my periods not my gallbladder because all of my test from my other gi doctor came back negative.
