Default Dull ache around inner left eye, itchy

So, I have this weird feeling in my left eye. It's a dull ache around the inner corner of my eye, which spreads up to my eyebrow, and down the left side of my nose and cheekbone. The ache makes my teeth hurt just a little, and sometimes I get the ache directly in the middle of my forehead.

But that's just bothersome and irritating. What freaks me out is that it itches around the inner corner of my eye. I just get the urge to itch there and up into the crease of my eyelid and browbone. What the heck???

Is it a sinus infection, or a cluster headache? Has anyone had itching associated with this???

Could very well be a simple sinus infection. Usually you can check by applying light pressure to the area, like the area on between your cheekbone and nose. If there is a noticeable discomfort then it would probably be safe to say that you have the infection. Sometimes ear infections can also occur alongside a sinus infection (those tend to hurt). It is very common though so there is no real need to be worried unless you experience severe pain...in which case you go to the medi center to get it checked out. Itching will come from irritation, likely from the transfer of dirt and grime from fingers after rubbing your eye.

These things happen to each and every one of us as some point. But if you are having a tough time with anything it is best to talk to a doctor.

Thank you ItsASecret!

I found out that the itching may very well be an ingrown hair that has developed in my eyebrow. Yuck.

But yeah, poking at my face caused a bit of discomfort, like more pressure than usual. Bugh.

The Nurse Practicioner at the Health Center at my Uni gave me Sudafed, so I am going to be taking that to see if it gets better. If not, they'll give me an antibiotic on Monday.
