    Dear Bostonbuns:

Go ahead and have your baby!! Get off medications. All you need to do is watch your sugar intake. My fiance is a diabetic and gets these lumps under his armpits, on his head, legs, between his thighs are especially painful! But sometimes, if you just leave them alone, they go away on their own; especially the ones under your arms. If they are particularly painful, cover them up with some kind of bandage. My fiance tends to pick and scratch at his, so I put warm (or hot as he can stand it) washclothes on the lump/abcess for about 20-30 minutes; 3 times a day. They eventually come to a head, and they are easy to squeeze or pop; especially in the bath or shower. These lumps/abcesses have NOTHING to do with your hygiene! We have learned that BACTERIA FEEDS ON SUGAR! And since we all have some kinds of bacterias in our bodies at all times; depending on how our body responds to the sugars we eat; abcesses can form. The bacteria will feed on the sugar and need a place to empy out. Sounds disgusting and I guess it is until you learn to live with them. Just watch your sugar intake and see the difference!!!!

    Default hi

    hi everyone,
i am 15 years old and i have an abscess in the groin area. I'm really self conscious and insecure about it. i could really use some advice. it looks like a black and blue mark but there was puss that came out twice since Ive had it. its been about 6 months. I'm afraid to go to a doctor but i told my mom. she said it might be infected. I'm really worried. when the puss is there it hurts to walk. I'm really happy there's others out there who will share what's going on. this is the first sight that's helped
