Well this is abit of a long story so please bare with me!

About a month ago I had a stomach virus that had me sick to my stomach for about a week, then the very week after that I went through a VERY stressful time in my life. So those two weeks I didnt eat very much or very well.

Now the past two weeks Ive been recovering from being taken off Synthroid. Now everyone who tells me this freaks out and says to immediately go back!

But my family doctor misdiagnosed me with hypothyroidism and I was on Synthroid for 9 months before going to a specialist cause the medicine wasnt working.

The thyroid specialist said i had TO many symptoms for hypo and none of the dominant ones that match hypo. He said it sounded more of a hormone and anxiety problem.

So he took me off synthroid and its been two weeks without the medication now (actually its closer to three, phew scary)

So monday it'll be three weeks that i havent been eatin good at all.

So we called my pharmacist (since doctors never answer your questiions over the phone..) and the pharmacist said the nausea and tired is caused by being taken off synthroid and it'll take another week or so for it to fade completely.

So i still have maybe a week or less to go but im rapidly loosing weight and close to the unhealthy. I was 126 and in three weeks im down to 116 and im 5'7. I have very high metabolism

Well i think my thyroid starting to kick in again cause my late period finally started and Im not as tired all day. But the nausea is still here and its extremely hard to eat. Half of it is no appetite and the other half is fear of when i eat im going to get nauseas again, cause thats how its been for a month.

I dont wanna be malnutritioned which i might already be and I definately dont want to starve myself. Im also having IBS problems and have an IBS infection which causes nausea but thats clearing out now. So I have a few questions

First any advice for all this?

How can i calm myself and reassure myself im not going to be sick of i eat?

How much do i have to eat at the least to be safe weight and health wise a day till i can build my appetite back up?

Any tips on building my appetite back up?

Any foods or vitamins good for this?

And is there anyone who had to go through this Synthroid thing as well?

Why isnt my stomach growling or have an appetite if its been so long since i ate good you'd think it'd be begging for food!

Sorry for all this and I am new so hi everyone! But i dont wanna go to the doctors right away for one my parents are really low on money right now for even co-pay and Im not really sure theyd be able to do anything.

The longer you go without eating properly, your stomach will continue to shrink more and more and so whilst it "growls" you don't feel that hungry.

IBS is a known problem with nausea, bloated stomach, running to the loo, feeling weak, not that hungry, if eating dairy products and it often will hang about for a month.

So, your symptoms may also be more IBS related.

Do you own a juicer? fruits with some water, juiced can help you get back onto the getting used to eating wagon. Don't eat dairy foods at all, or anything spicy, no heavy meats, all those things will make you feel worse.

Try soft "mashed" vegetables and juices to start with as your body adjusts and if you can dry toast and then slowly bring in salads, tuna, anything green, mushrooms for iron, things that are light basically and smaller portions of 3 or 4 a day...
