Stretching throughout the day and doing a regular stretch program should help. Check out Classical Stretch. Miranda has some programs just for back pain, You might also consider switching part of the time from a chair to a pilates ball to sit on.

Well, an option for while you're actually working on the computer is shopping for a more ergonomic chair. There are even kneeling chairs that look like this:

At least google "ergonomic chair." I also find laying on a heating pad until it cools down on its own when it automatically turns off helps ease back pain. I know you're not supposed to but I go to sleep every night like this.

My hubby broke his back a couple of years ago, so we've gone through a lot of back pain.

He has one of those chairs Amalthea posted. HE LOVES IT!!!

He also has an inversion table that he gets on every 3 or 4 days. It helps a lot.

Good posture is also important. Colliton says physicians should teach women the neutral spine posture -- which neutralizes the swayback posture many women develop. If a woman has to stand or sit for long periods of time, stepping or resting one foot on a low stool relaxes pelvic muscles and helps decrease the strain on the spine. Back pain is as common a disorder as it is cough and cold. Due to adverse lifestyles, more and more people are suffering through this. But the bounty of Mother Nature offers us a plenty of cures for each disorder. Of all the effective medications available for back pain, some natural products work the best. Bromlain due to its pain suppressant property has become an impeccable treatment for acute back pains. It not only provides instant relief to the one who is suffering but also helps the person to fight back pain in long run.
